In student government, I serve as a representative across multiple levels of campus and statewide governance. As the sole student member of the Student Life Committee, I collaborate directly with faculty to represent our 8,000+ student body, offering feedback on policies, student concerns, and campus initiatives, including helping draft two new scholarships totaling over $2,000. On the Academic Senate, I work with faculty and administrators on issues ranging from academic policy to campus safety. As a student senator, I help analyze policy proposals, pass 20+ pieces of legislation impacting the college, and co-manage a $500,000 budget that supports clubs and student organizations. Beyond campus, I serve as HVCC’s voting delegate to the SUNY Student Assembly, where I have supported and voted on 5+ systemwide policies affecting more than 1.3 million SUNY students.

I’ve brought multiple high-level speakers to campus, including Thomas Curran (Wharton MBA, founder of Curran Wealth Management, and author with Forbes Books), a local real estate leader managing $5M+ in assets, and a social media entrepreneur with 10,000+ followers across platforms. I also coordinate our club’s participation in the New York Business Plan Competition, guiding and preparing five student teams through the pitch process. Running the club independently has strengthened my ability to teach, organize large groups, build partnerships, and create opportunities that expand our campus’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

I lead workshops that make financial literacy accessible to all students, covering everything from what a stock is to how to read balance sheets and open Roth IRAs. I also coordinate professional engagements, including bringing in Graypoint LLC to analyze our portfolio and provide members with expert feedback.
